If Sestak were to win the nomination, you would think he would need more name recognition by now.

Specter is clearly banking on the poor name recognition of his opponent to help him slide into the nomination. Specter openly told reporters that he would not grant Sestak more than one debate, saying "Let Sestak earn his own publicity."

Or could it be that Specter does not want to be put on record making promises to the left-wing special interests of the Democratic party? Specter has to be smart enough to know that making promises to progressives will only make him even less popular in the general election.Christian Libertyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04842885802414436051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799451770086337664.post-58244536911532056722010-04-06T11:46:50.599-05:002010-04-06T11:46:50.599-05:00For 3 months in a row, Toomey has led by 9 over Sp...For 3 months in a row, Toomey has led by 9 over Specter in Rasmussen. And given the radical agenda of the "progressive" Democrats, this is much more likely.Christian Libertyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04842885802414436051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799451770086337664.post-47682533906570947512010-04-06T11:39:04.158-05:002010-04-06T11:39:04.158-05:00"What will be the outcome of Arlen Specter..."What will be the outcome of Arlen Specter's bid for re-election to the U.S. Senate?" Sestak...We're only six weeks from the election. Sestak should have more name recognition than that by now. Democrats have had a very dim opinion of Specter for years. I think if they knew there was an alternative they'd take it.

In Pennsylvania the Democrat gets Philly and Pittsburgh, while the Republican usually carries the rest of the state. Toomey's Club For Growth credentials are fine with Republicans, but he's got to sell them to the Philly and Pittsburgh suburbs.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11928675187803337574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799451770086337664.post-24199369524823031532010-04-06T10:18:35.978-05:002010-04-06T10:18:35.978-05:00Obamacare will not do any Democrat any favors in a...Obamacare will not do any Democrat any favors in any general election. America firmly and resoundingly rejects Obamacare and favors an immediate repeal.

"Currently, two weeks after passage, 54% of the nation's likely voters still favor repealing the new law. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 42% oppose repeal. Those numbers virtually unchanged from last week and the week before. They include 43% who Strongly Favor repeal and 32% who Strongly Oppose it.
Repeal is favored by 80% of Republicans and 57% of unaffiliated voters. Sixty-eight percent (68%) of Democrats oppose repeal." (Rasmussen April 5)

For 3 weeks in a row, at least 54% of LV favor repeal.

And 57% of independents favor repeal.

Democrats just forfeited control of Congress as soon as they passed this monstrosity. There is no other way to spin it. Obamacare means that Democrats are doomed.

Democrats can either renounce their party's vote and come out in favor of repeal, or forfeit the election in November.Christian Libertyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04842885802414436051noreply@blogger.com
