There have been rumblings that the Republicans have an (outside) shot at taking the NJ Assembly, and the same for the Democrats with the VA House of Delegates.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799451770086337664.post-36681721457225334072009-09-27T07:13:06.702-05:002009-09-27T07:13:06.702-05:00I know this might fall into the category of things...I know this might fall into the category of things you're less interested in polling, but I would really like to see you ask about the 2010 Census - either/ both "fact" questions (how is census data used? Who is responsible for collecting/analyzing? Etc) and "feeling" questions (is the census good or bad? Do you have / what are your concerns about how census data gets used? Etc)

I am not trying to be morbid, but given recent news out of KY (where I grew up), I would like to know what an NC survey might show. I guess I've actually been wondering about this for a while, beginning when a census worker came to verify my address. I was surprised by her timidity, and apparent gratitude at my willingness to speak to her. I livein Chapel Hill, and would have expected that most folks here were open to the idea of census-related data gathering, but that is definitely not the impression I got from conversing with "my" census worker. I know that my anecdote and one horrific national story may not be enough to justify polling this, but I am generally curious about NC attitudes here.

I also like the governors question, as a follow-up to your unpopular politicians postings. Maybe Jim Hunt and Jesse Helms won't fare as well in today's NC (though I bet they will).thisnisshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00663188886983604953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799451770086337664.post-14012455872572988102009-09-26T23:58:25.063-05:002009-09-26T23:58:25.063-05:00Is it possible to poll about the 2010 Census - eit...Is it possible to poll about the 2010 Census - either/ both "fact" questions (how is census data used?
