Florida Senate

Last month our polling found that Florida Senator Mel Martinez is really unpopular and vulnerable to challenges from CFO Alex Sink or Congressman Robert Wexler in 2010.

We'll be in the field in Florida this week and will test another pair of potential Democratic candidates against Martinez. Any suggestions? I want to get our surveys for this week finalized by Tuesday.

  4. I second the call for Wasserman Schultz. Also worth testing now or in the future: Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio.

  5. I really appreciate all the suggestions. I do encourage future commenters to reiterate suggestions already made that they like since we're only going to poll two at a time probably.

We'll most likely do this on every Florida poll between now and November.

    Thanks!

State Senator Dave Aronberg - holds swing seat running from east coast to west

Congressman Ron Klein - beat a 26-year incumbent and has the proven ability to raise a ton of money

Congressman Allen Boyd - represents a large swath of north Florida

CFO Alex Sink - proven ability to win statewide
