Hillary Clinton 51
Barack Obama 46
There has been some minor movement in Barack Obama's direction since PPP's Indiana poll last week, mostly because Obama is shoring up his support with black voters.
The state's open primary is working to Obama's benefit. While he trails Clinton by ten points among Democrats, he has a small lead with Republicans and a 52-39 edge with voters who don't identify with either party.
Clinton's victory in Indiana will come almost exclusively from voters over 65. She leads with them 63-31 while trailing in the under 45 vote.
The bottom line on Tuesday's primaries is that Obama is likely to win North Carolina by more than Clinton's winning margin in Indiana. The delegate count will be largely a wash and Obama will just be one more day closer to the nomination, barring some massive new scandal that would send the super delegates in Clinton's direction.
Full results here.
Of course. In your fantasy world Obama also carried Pennsylvania and is already the nominee. It is obvious that you can't hide your glee at the results you have come up with. "Yeah, Obama is likely to win North Carolina by more than Clinton's winning margin in Indiana."
ReplyDeleteYou are supposed to poll and report the results objectively. That's all you are expected to do (in which you obviously suck). Who the hell asked for your two cents on the fate of the race?
Anonymous, I think we all want to know Tom's "two cents on the fate of the race". He is a pollster and isn't it the job of the pollster to predict who will win and who will lose? It's not like Tom stated who he wished would win or who he thought was most deserving, he simply stated who he thought would win the nomination. What is the difference between him stating who he thinks will win the nomination and who he thinks will win in Indiana or in North Carolina? He is a pollster who makes well educated and throughly researched predictions. That is his job.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you didn't want his two cents, why are visiting his blog?
I look at it this way, no matter weither John McCain wins, Obama, or Clinton. The American people lose. I'm from Indiana, I voted for Ron Paul, the only chance for America we have left. People in Indiana decided they want communism, and corruption to run their lives. I pray that people in other states will be smarter then Indiana in this aspect.
ReplyDeleteWho is Ron Paul?
He has NEVER voted to raise taxes.
He has NEVER voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has NEVER voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has NEVER voted to raise congressional pay.
He has NEVER taken a government-paid junket.
He has NEVER voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted AGAINST the Patriot Act.
He voted AGAINST regulating the Internet.
He voted AGAINST the Iraq war.
Clinton really needs to drop out, she is going to single handidly destroy the Democratic party. Ron Paul '08!!!
