I just wanted to give folks a heads up that we are not going to release our numbers on the primary contests in Connecticut. Because of the Dodd retirement we chopped a day off the field period of the poll so that we could get the numbers out a day earlier than we had planned and because of that the number of interviews we collected on each of the two primaries was below 250. We don't want to release something with a huge margin of error so we're not going to make those public.
I will say based on the interviews we did complete that nothing we found challenges the conventional wisdom of where those races stand. And I apologize for the inconvenience- sometimes you just have to roll with the punches.
You are releasing the CT Gov primary numbers tomorrow, yes?
ReplyDeleteJust the general election numbers for Governor.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the quick response, Tom. Are you planning on releasing the primary numbers at all? If so, when?
ReplyDeleteAs a CT resident, I like how much attention my state's been getting poll-wise lately: we usually don't get too much info about that sort of stuff since we're not usually an important state.
ReplyDeleteWait, so that means, based on your incomplete numbers, Rob Simmons had a scant lead or Linda McMahon?
