The Gaston County GOP held a straw poll this week and long shot Republican hopeful Ron Paul was victorious. Non-candidate candidate Fred Thompson was a strong second. Way back in third was Mike Huckabee.
Why do Republicans love straw polls? Does anyone really think Ron Paul is going to win North Carolina or even Gaston County?

Yes, I do. In fact, I do to the point that I have already donated over $500. And will continue to donate to his campaign until he is elected as president. Hell, if an illterate fool from Texas can be president, then a brilliant one can.
