Vote in the Poll

Ok folks, we're going to let you vote for where we poll this weekend again at the top of the page.

The choices are:

-Connecticut. We would poll Chris Dodd against Rob Simmons to see if Dodd's apparent new unpopularity actually could make him vulnerable against a Republican and also look at Richard Blumenthal against Simmons to see if Democrats might be better off with a retirement.

-Delaware. We would see how Beau Biden fares against Mike Castle to see if there's any chance Democrats don't keep this seat in 2010, and also see how John Carney might do against Castle in a contest for the state's House seat.

-Kentucky. We would look at how Dan Mongiardo, Jack Conway, and Crit Luallen would do against Jim Bunning and Trey Grayson. I know the NRSC said it would support Bunning last week but if he doesn't believe them, why should we? Hence the inclusion of Grayson.

Anyway, you can vote until Wednesday at 10 AM. Also, if there's anything else we should poll in any of these states leave a comment and we'll consider it.

Poll the CT-Gov race to see if there is any chance Jodi Rell will get under 60%.

Poll Lieberman v. Lamont rematch or Lieberman v. Blumenthal.

Perhaps you should also poll David Williams for KY as he would likely run.

Trey Grayson said that he wouldn't run unless Bunning retired, so I don't think that you should pit the three Dems against him. Maybe pit them against just Bunning and Williams, as Sean just said.

Definitely DE House and Senate; if Carney comes close on Castle, his first real challenge in a long time (if ever), it could have a big impact.

Maybe close polls could scare Castle into retirement. He's pretty old, and campaigns are hard...

I think Delaware, the Forgotten State, would appreciate the attention.

I would include Grayson as he very well could be in the mix. Others have polled him and it would be interesting to see how he matches up. He is rumored to be McConnell's pick anyway.

If you're going to do Delaware you ought to include New Castle County Executive Chris Coons. He presides over half the state's population and some of my folks are telling me he is eying the House seat as well (I used to do direct mail in the state).

It's no secret Coons wants to be in the House, but it's highly unlikely he would primary John Carney. If Castle runs for the Senate it's likely that Charlie Copeland or Colm Connolly would run for the House on the Republican ticket.
