We'll conduct our third poll next weekend looking at Richard Burr's prospects for reelection in 2010.
We already polled Roy Cooper and Heath Shuler against him. Who should we do next?
We're not going to do Richard Moore, since Kos already did, or Brad Miller since he's already said he's not running. I think I'll take nominations over the weekend and then put it up for a vote on the blog Monday and Tuesday.
Next week we'll have our New Hampshire poll and some issue polling in North Carolina focusing on hot issues in Washington and guns.

How about Elaine Marshall? Ran for the Senate once and she's still a statewide official.
A state senator, considering there are at least six in statewide office (Hagan, Perdue, Dalton, Marshall, Cooper, Cowell). Don't live in North Carolina, so I don't know who is mentioned as possible candidate from that body.
Elaine Marshall, I don't know if she would run, but I would like her to run if Roy Cooper doesn't run.
What about Harvey Gantt?

Make it a straight Winston-Salem match-up. Both would bring incumbent money to the table (quite often the same money, probably).

Frankly, the only one I'm interested in right now is Cooper.
Although I don't think he's interested, maybe Easley will be bored after two years and decide to run - so you might try him.
Be interesting to see if North Carolinians have noticed Burr's move from the far right to the ultra extreme right. Is that something you can poll?
Lance: You mean a rightward-leaning socialist is becoming even more of a rightward-leaning socialist?
Personally, I'd like to see BJ Lawson run against Burr in the primary.
