Next week...

I know I said we would start our 2009 general election Governor polling this week but that's going to wait...expect New Jersey out the week of the 29th and Virginia the week of July 6th.

We're going to be releasing another poll showing a Democratic Governor in more perilous shape for reelection next year than is the current conventional wisdom on Sunday night...not our favorite thing to do but we just put out the numbers whether we like them or not. We'll have the rest of the release for that state over the course of the week.

We'll also have Obama's newest NC numbers Sunday night.

Why the unusual release time? I'm off to Omaha bright and early Monday morning for the finals of the College World Series. It breaks my heart the Tar Heels didn't quite make it (I only went to 43 of their games this year) but it's a great event either way...Geaux Tigers!

I would imagine this time It's Culver or Ritter.

In which region is this "endangered Democratic Governor" if I may ask ?

I agree with Sean, it's Culver or Ritter. Other governors who could have been vulnerable are term-limited, like Richardson, Kulongoski or maybe Rendell.

I am guessing Strickland.

Strickland? If it's Strickland then the poll would be a great outlier. His job approval rating is 57/30 via Pollster.com and in the three Q-Pac polls so far he beats DeWine by 12-22 points. If he had a viable opponent, he might be in danger, but DeWine is a nut and lost handily vs. Brown in 2004.

Culver or Patrick.

If it's Culver, that's a good sign for the GOP going against Obama in Iowa in 2012 considering how hard-right the candidates from the GOP side are in Iowa against Culver.

Kasich is his most likely opponent, and last time PPP polled them, Strickland was only up 6.

how about polling on a main cabinet members favorable ratings? and how about matching up among secretary clinton and gop candidates?

What time will you be releasing the polls?
