Barack Obama has taken the lead in Pennsylvania, a remarkable turnaround after trailing Hillary Clinton by 26 points in a PPP poll in the state just two and a half weeks ago.
Obama's steep rise could be a reflection of a growing sense among Democratic voters that a continued divisive nomination process will hurt the party's chances of defeating John McCain this fall. An Obama upset in Pennsylvania would be virtually certain to force Clinton out of the race.
Obama has his customary large advantage with black voters (75-17) and is keeping it relatively competitive with white voters (49-38)
He leads across all age groups except senior citizens and balances Clinton's 10 point lead with women with his own 15 point lead with men.

Browsing through the internet I came across a comment that the writer in traveling through Pennsylvania observed that the majority he saw were white, poor and uneducated. Re: the latest Public Policy Polling results in Pennsylvania, it seems as though Obama's faith "in the people" was justified! When given the opportunity to find out who Obama really was through his bus tour through Pennsylvania and his tremendous TV ads paid for "by the people," those Pennsylvanians though white, poor, and uneducated were still capable of knowing, when exposed to the truth and the reality of what was really goin' on, that they were being lied to and manipulated by Hillary and her campaign staff!

First off, I think either Hillary or Obama would be a great President. For all you Republican Hillary-haters out there, know this: she works hard. She is tough. And she's smart. None of those attributes have ever been associated with George Bush. Is she flawed? Sure. Is she perfect? No. She gets carried away and she may want it too badly. But I've known women like her and they were the ones you wanted when it came to getting something done. I know it makes your manhood shrivel, but bitches rule.
And she's not a socialist. Read her senior thesis. She rejected the views of the most famous social activist of her time. She has always veered for the center throughout her career.
Obama is even better. He, too, is a hard worker. He is an amazing American success story, and the world is watching to see if he might win. He inspires. He gets people involved who haven't taken part in years. Now, I know that scares the crap out of Republicans, who count on voter suppression to win. If all the self-identified Democrats voted, there would be a landslide. Republicans are actually a minority party, but because they have a hose directly into the trough of Big Business, they have traditionally bought elections. We Democrats believe that only a multi-millionaire gets anything out of being an "R", and we don't see why you buy the hype Big Business is selling. But you seem to like it.
As for McCain, when he was a maverick I liked him. When he goes on Jon Stewart and actually makes sense, he's ok. I like his story. But I don't see him as a hard worker, and I don't see him as all that smart. I like that he drives Limbaugh nuts. I think life got handed to him by his rich family and his rich wife, and some of his stands drive me nuts. If I had to choose between McCain and Romney, Huckabee, Guliani, Paul, or the rest of those guys, sure, I'd take McCain. But I don't have to. He's too old, too cranky, and too intellectually lazy. In my opinion, I can't wait for this election cycle to end. Out of three hundred million American's, the best we can come up with is Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain. I would really like you to take a position Anonymous, so we all really know what you are really attempting to say. Since you parents arrived here in the 70's, you don't know a hill of beans about what people in this country have suffered, especially black people. You might want to find a black person you have respect for and discuss your ill advised views with them.

I am an obama supporter but I believe hillary will win PA. it would be great if obama won but there is a lot of political clout on hillary's side. it is what it is. but obama will close the gap. hillary will not have the blow out victory she needs. obam could make a good president if the way he handles his campaign is any indication of his management skills.
One small, powerful thought: We need fairness, and above all, we can't allow CNN to choose the next American President through their political machine. Why is Obama so afraid to allow Michigan and Florida votes to count if he is for fairness? If these votes are not allowed to count I, a lifetime Democrate, will vote Republican and will move forward as an Independent who will not allow money and power to swing my vote.

I like Sen. Obama don't take anything for granted even if the polls do give him a slight lead. He needs to keep working hard in PA, IN, NC, and wherever there is a primary. The stakes are just too high to count on the birds in a tree rather than the one in hand.

A man heckling First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna outside the 92nd Street Y was arrested after he punched a wheelchair-bound girl whose parents has told him to shut up, authorities said yesterday. German Talis, 22, was shouting obscenities at the Bushes, who were leaving the building Tuesday, when he crossed paths with Wendy and John Lovetro and their daughter Maureen, 18, who has cerebral palsy.
They had been in the audience to hear the Bushes talk about their children's book, "Read All About It."
"He began yelling about Iraq and Iran at Jenna Bush. She was waving at the crowd. I told the guy, 'What are you doing? Shut up. This is about a child and books,' " said John Lovetro. "He was unperturbed. I said, 'Get out of here! You're being a moron!' "
The next thing he knew, Talis was allegedly punching Maureen - a fan of the first lady since meeting her in 2004.
"I heard my daughter hysterical yelling, 'He's hitting me!' " said Wendy Lovetro.
"He punched her on the shoulder blades, but that wasn't enough," she said.
"My husband pushed the wheelchair away from him and he reached beyond my husband and began pounding my daughter in the thigh."
The two men fought as the president's family drove off. Cops broke them up and busted Talis on charges of assault and resisting arrest.
Maureen was not seriously injured.

Let's just say I approach a Dem/Socialist's GrandMother who is in a wheelchair protesting our Military. I guess it's perfectly fine and legal for me to start physically bashing her with everything I have. I can bruise and maim her because I am a Veteran, right? Dems/Socialists would have NO problem with me beating their wheelchair-bound Grandmother because she hates the Military.....
It's funny how Socialists will invoke their Freedom of Speech only when it is in their own interest. And if they are truly Democrats, as their Party dictates, then they shouldn't even expect Freedom of Speech because it doesn't mesh with the DNC's Socialist party lines.
They want it both ways. They want to be free to commit crimes against those who aren't Socialist, but expect those of us who value Freedom to never assault them, the way they brutalize Freedom loving people.
