Some thoughts:
-Who was the last politician in New Jersey who was truly popular and universally well liked? Bill Bradley? Tom Kean? Certainly doesn't seem to have been one lately.
-It is way too early to be looking toward 2012 but Bob Menendez and Sherrod Brown's relatively weak numbers are indications they're not in for life yet, not that you would necessarily expect them to have already reached that status after two and a half years.
-I really wish we could do quarterly 50 state tracking but someone would have to pay for it...if you have a rich uncle who loves poll send him our way :)

Can we agree that Texans are better off with Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison in the Senate? If Kay resigns, there are no guarantees that her seat will be filled and defended successfully by a Republican.
Anyone agree? Please sign the petition, http://pleasestaykay.com/
With the new "Republican Internal" out that has Sen. Harry Reed (D-NV) down by 6 against NV GOP chair Sue Lowden, you might want to poll NV on your own ... ?

Not that I'm rich in any way, but just out of pure interest- what does it cost to commission a poll? Just roughly? Because I have no idea of that, even after following polls intensely for quite some time now.
Hey Rasmus:
Most of our polls are in the 2-3k range. For a live interviewer poll you're looking at 10k+ usually.
I'd also be interested to know what Al Franken's numbers are like. My guess is that they fall somewhere between Roland Burris and Robert Menendez.
