And the plan in North Carolina...

-Tomorrow we'll have our monthly numbers on Bev Perdue. She's pretty much in the same place she's been. We asked folks who disapproved of her to tell us the reason why from a list of commonly cited reasons and those results are well worth looking at.

-Thursday will be the Obama numbers. We asked the same health care question as last month and got basically the same numbers...doesn't seem like all the noise is moving public opinion on that in either direction. One big caveat for him on this poll though: he's down to the 70s with Democrats. It'll be interesting to see if that's a blip or a trend.

-Friday we'll have the monthly Senate numbers. Richard Burr's approval rating isn't going anywhere but the number still shows some signs of concern for Democrats. For instance even though he only gets 34% approval from independents, he still has a 22 point lead on the generic ballot with them. And the six Democrats we tested poll anywhere from 14 to 21% with independents- that's not their deficit, it's their share of the vote!

Stay tuned!

Look at it this way... if the drop among democrats that caused that approval number to get down to the 70s is because of liberal democrats then its definitely not a blip. Thats because of Obama's unwillingness to back the public option.

Otherwise it is likely a blip or nothing substantial.
