It's been a slow week on the blog because the paying clients have been rolling in but we should have more to say next week.
On deck are our monthly national poll and our first look at the Maryland Governor's race. I forgot to take suggestions on the extra Republican for this month so made an executive decision and put Jan Brewer on the poll.
Where should we poll next weekend? We'll take your suggestions over the weekend and put them up for a vote Monday.

If it's not too late, you should take out Brewer and put in someone who might run for President in 2012.
Florida Senate race
Too late, wt.
New Hampshire. The Democratic Senate candidate is settled and Congressman Paul Hodes has no noteworthy competition in his primary, but the Republican primary hasn't been polled since May, when the numbers showed one-time Republican frontrunner, establishment pick Kelly Ayotte going from a 24 point lead in late April to a 9 point lead in mid-May - and self-funding 'outsider' challenger Bill Binnie has spent millions on the race since then, while Ayotte has been mired in a ponzi scheme scandal, where she either had to admit culpability in failing to investigate, or incompetence in running the office in the first place (she chose to plead incompetence).
The primary isn't until September, but nobody else is polling that race for some reason. Binnie takes a much harder free-market line than Ayotte, but is much softer on social issues, and New Hampshire Republicans have had eight years to forget what happened the last time a bored rich Republican decided to buy a race (i.e. the disastrous governorship of Craig Benson). It's always possible that far-right fringe candidates Ovide Lamontagne or Jim Bender might show an unexpected surge as well.
Given the success that Tea Party candidates have had this year in taking out electable, establishment-backed candidates in Republican primaries in favor of incompetent and incoherent idiots like Sharron Angle, Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, and Rand Paul, finding out whether establishment pick Kelly Ayotte has fallen from grace seems like a valuable bit of information.
Washington Senate please.
Anything in Pennsylvania! There is so much going on, so many congressional races, the senate race, the governor's race, etc... Take your pick, but let's get a sense of what's going on there.
Virginia Congressional races - VA02, VA05, VA09 and VA11.
Nevada, there really hasn't been a lot of polling of that state since the primaries ended.
I guess it's too late to start a Alabama Governor Runoff (Republican) poll between Bentley and Byrne?
Arizona would be cool. You found a close race when you last polled but Ras has pretty much shown Brewer blow-outs since then. It's worth seeing if you show an improvement in her prospects or if Goddard's still competitive.

Did you put Maryland Senate on the Maryland poll? (Not that we expect anything from these numbers. Mikulski seems pretty safe)
Are you open to polling a House race right now?
Statewide, I would look at Nevada (Angle is a horrible candidate, and Reid has been releasing ads), New Hampshire (Ayotte's incompetence and scandal), or Florida (the addition of Jeff Greene and Scott)
Nevada Senate. It's been a long time since anyone other than Rasmussen has polled the race. Is Reid closing on Angle, or has he even taken the lead? Or is he just too unpopular to come back? Have Angle's PR problems taken a toll? Worth a look. Obama's approval numbers and opinions about the immigration bill in the Nevada would be interesting too.
As the side/novelty question, you could poll "favorability" for the terms 'socialist', 'communist', 'progressive', 'liberal', 'conservative', and 'libertarian'.

Yes, Mikulski, generic 2012 Cardin re-elect, and a Cardin/Steele rematch (as well as two other questions on Steele).
Nevada, Missouri, Maine, Minnesota, Rhode Island, Georgia, Oregon, and Washington.
Nevada- Is Sharon Angle crazy enough that Harry Ried survives.
Washington state. Open Primary and General.
Minnesota- Dem Primary and General election. A look at a possible 2012

I live in MD. There is a candidate running against Ehrlich for the GOP nod, Brian Murphy. Did you include that in the poll. While I'm for Ehrlich, I was wondering if that could be an interesting race..I doubt it as when Murphy released his internal poll, last month, for the General Election, he didnt release the primary numbers.

I would say Florida and Nevada. Both have major Senate and Governor races. Plus they provide the added bonus of both of them having serious 2012 GOP implications, as well.

A poll of the Florida Republican gubernatorial primary would be nice.
Poll some Southern Dem House seats. There are plenty to choose from, like AL-02, AR-01, GA-08, MS-01, MS-04, TN-04, TN-08, TX-17, and VA-09.
Polling "Generic" will produce the anti-Mikulski vote, but not give us an idea how Eric Wargotz or James Rutledge will do. Generic should poll higher.

I'd be quite happy with either Nevada or New Hampshire. Missouri could also be interesting.
Arkansas. It's also little enough that you could poll the main House races AR-01 and AR-02.
Colorado
There hasn't been polling on the Senate primaries recently and nobody isn't looking into the GOP Gubernatorial Primary. Last I saw Maes was around 23%. Now with the scandals on him, as well as a ton of free press, I'm wondering how those numbers have changed.
Also interested in 2012 numbers as CO seems to change a lot, it gives a good feel for the west and surrounding area.
And if possible, to poll CD-7. I’m interested in seeing how tight that race really is.

Another interesting race you could poll in Florida would be the hypothetical Nelson vs. LeMieux 2012 matchup that a few people have been talking about.

AR Sen, and all their congressional districts, to see if the GOP can get the remaining 3 it doesn't have.
Georgia is the way to go. Is Barnes strong in the state? Can Thurmond even come close to Isakson, and is there a chance that Hadley might "Greene" him? Marshall general and Barrow primary/general would be schweet! And Chambliss' approval, as well as generic ballot. It all begs to be polled.

Washington Congressional (not Senate) races especially 3rd and 8th.
Virginia Congressional races
Somewhere in New England.
NH, CT, ME, VT, RI, MA all have some form of competitive races to poll
New Hampshire; Everything seems to be worth a look

New England always seems to be pushed back because everyone assumes it's liberal and will always vote Democratic. If Republicans are going to take the House they NEED to pick up their previous losses in New England.
I would be interested in seeing polls in Washington State or Florida.

Connecticut - I'm interested in seeing numbers on the Malloy-Lamont gubernatorial primary, and there are also a few congressional races (4th and 5th districts) that may end up being very competitive.
Rhode Island has a interesting Gov race, a 2012 sen race, and its small enough that you could potentially poll Kennedy's House seat to see if the GOP could really win.

Sharron Angle has been the subject of intense scrutiny of late due to her views, which are considered by some to be out of the mainstream. Only Rasmussen has polled there since the general campaign began and for the past 5 weeks. Prior to that Mason Dixon had some results which showed the two candidates 3 points apart, which is a far cry from what the current Ras poll shows.
Minnesota Gov and 2012 senate and posssibly who would u vote for now, Franken or Coleman?
